The Essence

The Vale began as a vision — a sanctuary where people could step away from the noise, reset their nervous systems, and remember what it feels like to be fully alive.

It’s about loosening the grip of an over-medicated, over-stimulated culture and returning to what has always worked: connection, nature, and presence.

While the original dream was a long-stay retreat in nature, The Vale is more than a place. It’s a movement toward a different way of living and healing — one that trusts the body, honors what we feel, and gives time for real change to happen.

Sanctuaries in Nature

Designed for sabbaticals, residencies, and long-term stays of around one month. A place to step fully away from daily life — to rest, move, and be nourished in a rhythm that supports deep transformation. Forest paths, zones for connection and contemplation, and days that flow between movement, stillness, and shared meals.

City Spaces

A 24-hour retreat in the middle of urban life — where you can connect with like-minded people, exchange ideas, and reconnect with your body. Here, the focus is on conversation, community, and shorter immersive experiences that fit into your everyday life.

  • Anyone seeking a deeper connection with themselves, others, and the world around them. From practitioners and creatives to people simply wanting to slow down — The Vale is built for anyone ready to live differently.

  • Many retreats are one-off events you attend for a set number of days. The Vale will host retreats too — but at our locations, there will also be ongoing reset programs, available 365 days a year. You’ll be able to arrive at any time, step into a supportive rhythm, and take part in daily practices, workshops, and experiences. The Vale will always be alive with something to return to

  • Time will tell. Right now, we’re laying the groundwork — building the community, testing concepts, and finding the right spaces and people to bring it to life.
