Coaching

Sometimes we need someone to really listen.
When I did my coaching diploma in 2018, one of the biggest things I learned was how to truly listen. I hadn't realized how often we listen while already preparing our response, offering advice or thinking about what someone should do next.
Learning to put my own opinions aside, stay curious and ask questions instead was quite a revelation.
And I still think it's one of the most valuable things we can offer another person.
What is coaching?
Coaching is a process where we explore where you are, what you want and what might help you move forward.
You might be facing a decision, struggling with a recurring situation or feeling uncertain about what you actually want. Sometimes we know the answer somewhere inside us, but haven't given ourselves the time or space to hear it.
My role is to listen, ask questions, challenge some of your assumptions and help you explore your own answers. I believe the most valuable insights are often the ones we arrive at ourselves.
Coaching takes time. As we meet over several sessions, we have the opportunity to explore different perspectives, notice recurring patterns and follow up on what happens in your everyday life.
Why I combine coaching with other practices
I love coaching, but over the years I've experienced that sometimes it has its limitations.
We can understand exactly what we want, have a clear plan for getting there and still find ourselves doing the opposite. I find that fascinating.
Sometimes our fears, emotions or familiar patterns are difficult to explore through conversation alone. That's one of the reasons I've continued studying hypnotherapy, yoga and other approaches that involve the body and our inner experiences.
I like being able to draw on different methods depending on the person and what we're exploring.

Working with me
Coaching is one of the central practices I use in Private Journey, a three-month collaboration where we meet regularly to explore self-awareness, inner security and trust in yourself.
If you'd prefer to focus entirely on coaching, that's absolutely possible. We can shape your Private Journey around coaching conversations, with time between sessions to reflect, put insights into practice and explore what comes up along the way.
I work with coaching as a process over time rather than offering individual one-off sessions.
